Hey,

I should be a proud TSX owner by tomorrow 6 PM CST :). With that in mind I tried to do some searches on the mp3 options for TSX.

I already know not to go with the stock mp3 player as it's overpriced and lacks features.

I read in many posts that the Alpine CHA-S634 6-disc CD/MP3 changer with the Alpine KCA-130B adapter (Ai-NET to M-Bus) should work with the steering wheel controls as well as the head unit.

I just want to get it verified by someone that already might be using this setup.

Will the id3 tags show on the navi?

I'm open to suggestions on other units.

Thanks for your time.

I was able to find this this (if cross posting isn't allowed, please feel free to delete).

**edit** I noticed domain name isn't allowed :). Sorry about that.

Has anyone here tried doing something like that to get mp3 capabilities?

After reading some more, I think the Sony CDX-757MX mp3 changer might be a good way to go.

I just want to verify with anyone that might have done this mod if the steering wheel controls work as well as the head units controls.

BTW...anyone in the Chicagoland area (suburbs) that knows any reliable car audio equipment installers?

Thanks,

I have the OEM Acura MP3 player and overall I think that it is pretty good. The only thing that I do not like about it is that it does not display the song on the screen (well at least not on mine because I do not have nav.) :bawling: :bawling: :bawling: :bawling: I am looking to replace mine with a Pioneer DVD/MP3 deck.

towards the bottom under Installation Details, click on Please select your vehicle.

I looked up that player on crutchfield and they say "This item does not work with your factory stereo." not sure what this really means. But I am also looking into adding and MP3 changer or MP3 player, but dont want to lose the steering controls and be able to see the song info on the Navi screen.

You would think since the DVD-ROM in the trunk is an Alpine product, that you could hook up other Alpine devices. Anyone have anymore info on this?
