I now have a 55'' monitor to browse and whatever I want on the computer. This is just nuts. This picture doesn't do justice. The Xbox controller is there for size comparison.

Yeah, it's from my iPhone. It auto adjusts and I couldn't get it to stop being a little B****.its kinda bright. is it just the camera?
^^VGA? Are you hooking it up to with a VGA cable?!? Dude, either go HDMI of DVI (preferably HDMI) . TRUST ME!!! You will love it even more
Aww dude believe me, DVI/HDMI will make a HUGE difference. I used a VGA cable for my 24 inch monitor and thought wow it looks pretty cool. Then when my HDMI cable came in the mail, I was blown away how sharp it is. Trust me man, a digital cable will make the pictures so sharp, you wouldn't even know the monitor was capable of it.Yeah, for video out on my laptop, I only have a VGA. They had a VGA to composite (green, blue, red) but I figured it'd be fine with the VGA-VGA.
Even with the VGA cable, it's awesome. You'll be on the computer all day just so you can see the giant monitor work. I know because I litterally have been sitting in front of my tv on the computer since noon today.Okay.. I'm going to buy a DVI cable now.. You have convinced me for my setup since I have the same with a 50" LG 1080 TV.
:naughty:life size porn ftw haha
First thing I thought. Your denying yourself maximum utilization.VGA? Are you hooking it up to with a VGA cable?!? Dude, either go HDMI of DVI (preferably HDMI) . TRUST ME!!! You will love it even more
Yeah, I understand I'm not getting maximum utilization. However, the only output on my sony laptop is VGA. I would love to be in pure HD but sadly I cannot do that.First thing I thought. Your denying yourself maximum utilization.
FYI, DVI is basically HDMI w/no sound.
Get something like this:thanks for the idea..my laptop has an hdmi port and after seeing this post I just plugged it into my 40" samsung..it works flawlessly. I doubt I'll use it often unless I invest in a wireless keyboard + mouse but it's good to know that the feature is there!
