Hi all, I am new to this forum and just got handed down 2005 TSX.
I can't stand the factory stereo setup and will be going to switch to aftermarket stereo equipment.

I noticed there are total of 6 speakers in the car (2 front with tweeter, back door and Real 6x9).
Did anyone switch all of these before?
If so, how painful is this installation?

I noticed that TSX does not have any afrtermarket dash kit due to HVAC control or something so I am guessing that I have to buy that original cassett kit which install my head unit to below.
One question i have is which harness do i have to buy to make this work with factory unit?

I will post pics as I install. This is going to take me a while...

Here is my list of equipments that I will be installing.

Head Unit: Pioneer 80PRS
Amp #1: Audison LRX 4.1K (Rear speaker + door)
Amp #2: Audison LRX 2.9K (Front Speaker)
Amp #3: Jl Audio 500/1 (Sub)
Front Speaker: Boston Acoustics 6.5Pro or Focal 165 KR
Real Speaker: Hertz Space K6L / HSK 6.5 coax
Sub: JL 10W7

As I progress, please help :)

thanks

Waste of money running two amps for speakers. Not to mention waste to have the rear decks at all if you're running a sub. You only need front doors and rears if you want rear fill or have passengers back there regularly.

And, should just run a JL Cleansweep rather than going through the hassle of fitting an aftermarket HU.

Thanks for the feed back.

I guess your right on one thing is that I will just have front and rear speaker and forget the back door.

All these gears are from my previous car before crashing it... So I didn't have to fork out any money for this.

I would also want to use current stock OEM stereo, but it does not work except for am/fm. It costs same or more than to get after market HU than fixing the current one and sound quality will be much better with after market HU.

thanks
