I'm not sure what the current rates are but that seems on the high side.

I would want to know: tuner's hourly rate, dyno rental cost, and any fees for custom hardware or software installation.

I think different place have different charge. In my City Hong Kong, general remap(refrash) cost us$600-800, custom tune cost more around $800-1000, Dyno rental cost $200-300. The cheapest custom tune in Dyno I found cost $1100, is really expensive for me
Last year, my friend had Hondata Flash pro+dyno custom tune for his FD2, cost him $2000!!
