Looking to have my 5AT 04 Tsx reflashed pretty soon been hearing about serge and I know about hondata. Mods I currently have are a intake and an after market exhaust so what would be my best option and what’s the benefits I would get from each? Any help is appreciated.

Since you are not boosting your engine the intake and exhaust mods should have minimal performance gains as you probably already noticed. They are mostly sound and psychological enhancers. With a tune you'll get a more noticeable performance gain as you lower your VTEC rpm. The reflash would be the best option.

For your 04, I recommend adding a header and reflash. The header and reflash will give you the best bang for your buck in terms of power and improved throttle response. Hondata reflash is more accessible, but I hear SergeBo reflash is coming back.

The reflash is only good for Intake/Header/Exhaust. Anything beyond that will need a custom tune, but your ECU doesn’t support that.

We can do all kind of N/A tuning on Honda and Acura. We cracked there original ecu, so we have access to almost all important maps for custom tuning. We did over 1000 of Cl9, CL7 etc... so any kind of tuning on stock ecu we can do. We are based in Europe, so any E-tuning is available, dyno or road tune :)

We can change:
  • injector dead times
  • custom DBW maps
  • low and high fuel and ignition maps
  • low and high VTC maps
  • custom VTEC point
  • rev limit
  • vtec modified by pressure
  • we can implant 50° vtc
  • pop and bangs
  • hardcut rev limit
  • immo off for swap
  • automatic gearbox reflash
etc. etc. etc. :)

And all that on stock ecu, without hondata, ktuner etc.

I’m also new to this tuning thing.
How does one go about getting a tune and can it be
changed as the car gets upgraded or is this a one
time thing?
A tune can be done by someone who is experienced in tuning like a high performance shop. It requires an appropriate cable for tuning and appropriate software.

If you have a shop only tune then you will not get the hardware and software required but your cost will be less since you're only paying for each time you want a new tune. Or you can buy the hardware and software, e.g. FlashPro, and you can learn to tune yourself and be able to change it anytime you want. Of course you can also buy FlashPPro and have someone else tune it which should only cost the labor they charge for tuning.
