Hello TSX club members.

My 2007 TSX has 177K miles on it.
There has been a weird noise coming from the front left side. I am thinking of the wheel bearing, but when I lifted the left side of the car and put the gear on Drive, it seems that the sound is originating from the transmission case Not from the wheel bearing. I am not positive.

On the other hand, when I lifted the right side of the car and put it on Drive, there was No noise or weird sound.

I recorded the sound to give you an idea of what it sounds like.

Any thoughts or advice would be really appreciated.

It's hard to tell exactly where it's coming from from that audio. I would put an automotive stethoscope, or DIY stethoscope (hose, stick, etc.), on it to better determine where it's coming from. That has never failed me over the many years and issues that I've troubleshot. It's a simple but very effective tool.
