Hello everyone,
I bought a OBD 2 scanner to see if there is any problem with my car. I found one code which said cylinder misfire. I did some research on YouTube on how to see which cylinder is misfiring and what to do.
It seemed like everything was working. So I went ahead and cleared the code.
Now I’m having second thought about the code that maybe there was a problem and instead of correcting it, I just erased the code. Is there any way of going back to see if the problem is still there?

My experience with several OBD ll scanners and my 2008 TSX is that the if the issue is still there, the car will pick it up again and the scanner will read it. I have never had a code come back when either it was fixed or the issue went away on its own and the code was cleared. Some issues that eventually go away have to be manually cleared or else they'll keep nagging you. Either way I wouldn't worry about it if the code doesn't pop back up.
