How is that 3in single? Pretty loud? Any video clips of it? I was think about going with a 3in single but I hate loud exhaust. Might just go with a 3in dual or a 2.75 single.

Yes 6 speed and yeah both set ups were tuned by Jei, the exhaust most certainly smoothed out power delivery.

The higher flow muffler is only going to net 3-5whp peak power, but should give me a very healthy increase in the midrange.

With a RBC IM I'm sure the 5k+ gain you were thinking about would be present, but i much prefer the linear torque the RBB provides for DD purposes.

Same here, that's why I'm going to add on a vband to the axle back section for easy swapping.

Right now it's dead quiet, because the piping is tappered down to meet the stock muffler.

3" -> 1.75"

I've got a Vibrant ultra quiet resonator and street power muffler waiting to go on along with a re-tune, but it's going to be an easy month before that happens.

So the new set up will be:

WeaponR header 2.5" collector -> 2.5" Magnaflow HFC -> 3" piping on -> 3" Magnaflow 14" length resonator -> 3" Vibrant ultra quiet resonator -> 3" Vibrant street power muffler

Nice I plan to run a similar set-up. I also have a weapon r header/test pipe but I'm running stock exhaust for now. I'd be fine with just 2.75in pipings but can't seem to find them anywhere. When you get done with your set-up you should post a video of it, would love to hear how it sounds!

@2.2Lude, forgot to ask but how much would it cost to switch VTC's? I have one machined to 45* but have no plans of putting it on til I get my RBC/exhaust.
Thanks in advance!

Finally after all these years some pulls on a Mustang dyno done at Rev Works in Winter Springs, Florida. Didn't know it would be this low :mecry: lol.

No engine management?

I heard mustang dyno's reads pretty accurate but don't quote me on that. I think you numbers should have been higher though. A completely stock K24A4 makes about the same. Were you getting a tune or was this like a dyno day thingy?

How do you like the Comp Clutch stage 2?
Looking into getting one.
And yea, mustang dyno's read low...

Yeah I'm still stock in the engine management department. I went to the dyno to see where I was at before I install my RBC IM, VTC, and ktuner. They gave me a dynojet conversion print out also I just didnt scan it, since I've heard mustangs are the truth. Those numbers were 238.579 HP and 200.274 torque.

I like the comp clutch a lot actually. Almost went stage 4, but last minute changed my mind for just stage 2. This clutch is way better than the exedy stage 1 I had imho. No ragrets! :tu2:

I have a 05 auto with 155,000 miles with CT supercharger 3.15 pulley/injen cai/ct header/2.5 exhaust/ flash pro. Tuner couldn't get car to rev past 6800rpm on dyno for some reason. Rev limiter is set to 7600rpm so numbers would be a little higher.

Forgot to update here. Went ahead and re tuned after swapping in a 3" vibrant muffler to finish off the exhaust. Look at that mid range. I really hope this puts a stop to those who keep claiming the stock exhaust flows well enough for a stock motor. NO IT DOES NOT!

It really is. If I swap out my HFC for a test pipe those dips at 5k & 6200 would smooth out with some a/f tweaking and the power band would be even better! But as it is now is still great.

My favorite part is the nice little kick I get at 5500 now, 20whp/20wtq! VTEC engagement was also lowered from 4200 to 3800 which provides a healthy bump in torque around 4k.

1st dyno (ever):
2006 TSX 6-speed
Engine Mods: CT icebox, Reflash, UR/XLR8 crank pulley
(Lightweight rims also)
93 octane (not sure if it was the "winter-mix" or not on 11/19/15)
Ambient temp. About 50F
Dyno: dynocom

Best run basically 188/149. - flat-ish torque curve ... Not too bad.

Not many seem to use this dyno-type so as a reference-point 30 min later a Toybaru with header/pulleys/exhaust/flash put down 170/148

Mods
(real) hytech header, 3in testpipe, 3in single exhaust, Comptech Icebox, Flashpro (email tuned)

All numbers are SAE corrected on a dynojet dyno I asked the dynojet operator to rev to an indicated 7500rpm even though my redline is 7700. No changes were made between the runs this is just a baseline for things to come.

Impressive! Are you still limited to the 25* RBB VTC?

Whats next?

Thanks!

Yes im still running the 25* VTC. Also important to remember im running Evo BBS wheels with 235 tires (light wheels heavy tires). What's next is still suspension, LSD and DC5R flywheel and clutch kit.

As far as engine mods, I'm building an OEM block '09 pistons etc and 4piston TSX head with KME-11 cams and ported RSP IM. Hoping for close to 280whp over the winter. I'll use the same dyno and have a local tuner so it should be a good comparison.
