Hey everyone Im new here but I own a 2006 Acura tsx (of course tsx cause of the club but oh well xD)
and im looking to upgrade my exhaust system.

I have a question tho, since i want to save money im thinking of buying one muffler and not two

(not doing a prebuilt system)
(Also Im gonna be making this a 3 inch setup)

anyway back to the point I'm thinking of putting only one muffler on before the Y-Pipe aroung where the mid muffler would be,
instead of what they have stock with the two mufflers after the Y.

I'd like to know all your thoughts on this and if someone had a video maybe of something similar to what im talking about.

Thanks!!!

Hey I just joined but I'm in a similar situation. Did you end up making a decision?

I was looking at getting a dual outlet muffler (a single would probably fit too) and putting it right before the Y-pipe. And of course my stock mufflers would be deleted.

What is the end goal here?

Just a bit of burble and attitude to the exhaust?
You already have a turbo and are aiming for 500RWHP?

A dual outlet single muffler under the car would not be worth the amount of fabrication required.
I've never seen anyone do that. For a reason!

A single outlet single muffler at the rear of car would be a better choice. Cheaper and better performance.
Lots of examples of those on this forum. Easy to purchase or easy to fabricate.

For just a bit of burble and attitude for cheap, just remove the 2 mid-resonators as I did many years ago.
Leave the cat and the 2 rear mufflers.
