Car threw code P0135 - O2 heater circuit malfunction.

From what I understand the heater on our O2 sensors helps warm up the zirconium sensor, for the O2 assembly to start operating sooner than it would if it was just warming up due to exhaust gases.

Since the code is referring specifically to the heater circuit and not the sensor itself, I was wondering if it means that my primary O2 sensor still works as intended, just takes a bit longer to get to the operating temperature. I haven't noticed any adverse symptoms to indicate O2 sensor not working - no hesitation, stuttering, rich exhaust smell, or excessive fuel consumption (this last one is hard to judge as we've had a cold spell here in Ontario).

I just had that situation last week. It happened right after I changed the primary o2 sensor from the stock headers to a set of plm headers I installed as soon as I buttoned up everthing and turned car on I caught the cel light. I ordered a 2004 Honda accord ex primary sensor which was way cheaper extended wires. installed and everything worked great no cel and back to norm.
I would first try to clear the check engine light with a scanner if that doesn't work get a new sensor.

I have the same issue with my car. My car was running ok. I went to the alignment stand to check out my front end and as i was about to leave my check light came on then all of a sudden the car hesitates when accelerating where it bucks and even stall at times. When i get it scan the code was h2o2 b1 s1 heater circuit. I reset the computer but it still came up back. I guess you guys are lucky to have that code and the car is still driving with no issues. My next step is to check the heater circuit on the o2 sensor but am just worried as to why the heater circuit would have a great impact on the performance of the car for it to be bucking, hesitating upon acceleration.
