Hello everyone! I figure it is time to introduce my 2006 Arctic Blue TSX with 66k. Mechanically, my TSX is completely stock and I will honestly, probably keep it that way. Cosmetically, I've added a few very minor things just to make it "my own." I think my only remaining future plans are lowering it 1.5 inches (debating bc the ride is so smooth now, why change it!), and dark gray or black rims (keeping the 17" base).
Here are some photos of my TSX.
TSX after a fresh wash, wax, and tint.
I added 35W 4300k in the fogs to match the factory installed HID's. Some people say the HID's are unnecessary in the fogs, but I think this looks so much cleaner. Love them!
It surely wouldn't be a chick car without these LED strips. Don't judge me! They're also under my front seats to accent the back. These are controlled by a remote, so I can turn them on/off or change the color whenever I want, haha. These are actual RGB LED strips wired into my ignition so they stay on for a few seconds after I shut off the car and get out. These are not those awkward tube light things.
Latest project - JUST COMPLETED YESTERDAY (3/5) - was removing the amber corners and putting in white LEDs; removing the center signal plates and putting in amber Switchbacks (DRL not compatible); painted the inner housings gloss black; and the final touch were CCFL halos. I saw a photo of the halos when browsing these forums, and I was completely in love with them. I don't remember the gents username, but thank you for the inspiration bc you were so right in saying that photos absolutely do not do these halos justice. In person, these look amazing!
I've been told my headlights now look "JDM" :donno: .. that is not the look I was going for. I just didn't like the giant amber corners, and the center halo would've look weird with the amber plate. I opted for the 3 halos instead of 2, because I wanted something different (since a lot people add halos to their cars).
I did not edit any of these photos, so please excuse my poor camera work, haha.
Front of the car with ambers removed.
Close ups of the housing. Headlight lens looks yellow-ish, just my lame camera causing that.
Photos of the halos. I had to capture these at an angle because getting them head-on was impossible, they are way too bright.
I've also got the halogen bulbs replaced with white LEDs inside and out, as well as the license tag. I got everything done by a local shop in my area. I go to them for everything lighting related and so far I have never had any issues with their stuff. I'm always a bit skeptical of buying things online, kinda freaks me out.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! :wiggle:
