Thanks for showing the pictures. It looks great!! I reckon the factory spoiler looks too ordinary.

You have the windows tinted, right? Your car looks clean and nice!!

By the way, I ordered similar lip spoiler from ebay as well. As you recommended, it is 46" (117 cm) in length for 2dr BMW E46. The seller will ship it to me today... I am looking forward to receive it soon.

Do you have any difficulty when putting on yours?

yes that is the same one I got...

I would say it is a pain in the butt to get it aligned that is about it and to get painted would be be like $40

it is not hard to get aligned if you do it with some friends. 2 people hold it in place and one person put masking or electrical tape along the curves of where it should go. install shouldnt take more than 10 minutes

So, what is the proper procedure? Use a few pieces of masking tape to hold the spoiler in position. While holding the spoiler in position, pull away the top (or actually bottom) bit of the 3M double sided tape and push the spoiler on, right?

Somewhere I read that it may need to bend the spoiler a bit to get the right curvature, do you have to do it? Would this action damage the paint?

no the masking/electrical tape is merely a means of guidance and in no way holds down the spoiler. just bend the spoiler to match the curvature of the trunk and just get a friend to put maasking tape up to the edge of the spoiler (this way you can mark where the curves go). then peel one side of the tape on the spoiler off and stick that side and slowly align it with the tape. as you move along to the otherside, pull the tape at the bottom of the spoiler. it should peel off pretty easily. make sure the spoiler isnt sitting at the very edge of the trunk. leave some space as seen in the pictures. looks better

also i took my spoiler to get painted at a shop that does work for the acura dealership here. no problem with damaing the paint. spoiler is smooth as ever with no cracks.

that's very nice ... just wonderin if i gonna buy it too .. then all the 2 dr E46 spoiler that on ebay will fit our cars ? .. or i have to ask for the length? thx
