Hey guys, new to this forum so don't bash on me too hard haha. I'm sure this has been asked/ discussed plenty but i cant manoeuvre my way around this website too well at the moment, so if there's a link to a thread that answers my question please comment the link to it thanks.

Im planning on pushing as much horsepower out of my tsx as possible. After months and months of research, calling tuner shops, asking experts; i've gotten everything planned on what to do to my motor but its the motor itself i have questions about that not everyone could answer. I was reading a magazine and it said that tsx's had 6 cylinder option. Not sure if they were referring to second gen only (i have an 04) or what the deal was. i could go on about it but long question short: What is the biggest motor that will fit in an 04 tsx engine bay? or whats the biggest motor i could fit with minimal adjustments. My dream would be to fit an 8 cylinder which i know is impossible haha (maybe with major modifications?) i don't know, but i was hoping to get at least fit an 6 cylinder motor in there even with adjustments

So your first thought isn't forced induction but to make the TSX a hotrod???
V6 is a second gen option
I've never seen anyone swap out a K series ... Only swap in.
might exist somewhere

I'm sure you can since the Accord from the same time frame came with a V6. I bet the the sub-frame from the V6 Accord will bolt right up to the tsx, but don't take my word for it. Do some research. But IMO, turbo is the best way to go for great HP gains.

+1 to both of these posts. A V6 would be the highest cylinder count you could probably fit in there. A V8 is out of the question due to space issues and the fact that there would be way too much weight over the front end. Even the V6 would offset the weight distribution being it is a front wheel drive car.

The K series motors are very desirable, seldomly does one hear of someone swapping one out for another motor. Turbo would be the best option for great power gains and supercharging can net 300+WHP as well.

Keep in mind that this is an entry level luxury sedan that's FWD with a 4 cylinder motor that weighs 3300LBS. This car can be made to go quick and is very rewarding to drive but if you're looking to go insanely fast (sub 4 second sprints to 60mph) then maybe this isn't the car for you.

Best of luck with any future build and make sure to keep us updated no matter which route you take.

Counting the number of cylinders? Sounds like you have an automotive upbringing of the domestic variety :)

Buy a longblock from an 06+. Build it while you keep driving your stock car around. Turbo the snot out of it. During the install, install and LSD and giant alxes. 600whp should be a reasonable goal.

That being said, I want to cram the subframes and drivetrain of an AWD TL into a 1st gen :)

go with a small block chevy and slap a blower on it :p , JK im not sure what motor the 2012 Accord 6 Speed V6 had but that $hit is beastly !!!!! i was wondering myself what motor it is and if it would fit into a CL9 or my EM1 lol , i think sky is the limit when it comes to modding your car , the only thing that matters is how much time and money you want to / can spend on doing so :)
