By the way, I now have it wired to my alarm so I can fold/unfold via alarm remote using its aux function...

well for me, every time I park in my own garage, I fold my mirrors so I can walk in between the 2 x cars much easier. This is a truly functional mod for me.
I am from Japan so I guess I appreciate it more...everyone uses them and they come standard on most cars.

I sat in a BMW before and tried to open a window. The button I hit actually makes the side mirrors fold electronically....it was way cool.
I try to fold in my mirrors whenever I can. If I don't, sometimes people walk into it and I find my mirror folded backwards (towards the front of the car). I actually have my driver's side mirror damaged. Either someone ran into it while biking, or those stupid people who leave fliers under your windshield wipers hit it with their belt clip.
