Hey all,

Wanted to get the input of anyone who has decided to replace their bushings, specifically the 3 bushings in the lower front arms.

Both front arms can be purchased new with bushings online for about $300 total. For some reason, the right side is $40 more expensive then the left, but whatever.

On the other hand, you can order all the bushings for about $50.

So the questions are:
- Is it even possible to press the bushings out? (and new ones in)
- If so, if you walk into a machine shop with the arm & bushings in hand, how much do they charge you for 6 pressed bushings?

I'm wondering if the cost difference is small enough, that it'd be worth the extra $ to have new, non-rusted lower arms. Not that I am overly concerned with how my LCA's look... but ya know...

EDIT: NEVERMIND, YOU CAN BUY AFTERMARKET REBUILT OEM LOWER ARMS WITH BUSHINGS FOR $50

Mods, you can leave this thread for the benefit of search results, or delete it.

RockAuto Parts Catalog is the autozone of the interweb.... they sell them, along with lots of other rebuilt OEM parts.

I wouldn't worry too much about getting an alignment after replacing LCA's. Hoever, this might be a smart move for anyone who is installing coilovers or otherwise has their suspension apart, in which case an alignment would follow.

This sucks that I just bought the compliance bushings and the two lower bushings for both my front arms but I guess I'll find out how much it costs to replace them and see if returning the bushings might be a better option.

Just have them pressed in, it's no big deal, I do them all the time where I work.
is that something they typically charge alot for? Because I know some mechanics just too lazy they just rather install a new arm.
