hey everyone

for those of you who have fitted the rbc intake manifold

did you or can you use the oem throttle body?

do you need to modify the rbc at all? or do you need a adapter plate?

and also whatintake did you use from the throtle body to the air filter??? can you use an ep3 intake for example?? as the position has changed

thanks

rbc and rrc are both bolt on with same coolant ports as rbb etc . Yes , er tb will fit em no problem. If you wanna use bigger TL tb you have to match plenum opening size, see scunk2 video how to do it. Im using rrc , it has almost identical tb positioning with rbc. My stock rbb rubber hose wont fit to stock air box - angle is too much different, i had to order that hose off JDM euro-r CL7 car that use k20 engine with rbc and it fits perfect. If you dont use box but cai instead then you can fabricate or modify pipes to fit other angle or just order a kit for cars that have rbc.

RBC and j35 TB are a bolt on setup, same size. I just put mine in yesterday. You will need kpro or flashpro. You will need the TB to be modded for a second Vac line.
yea i will be getting flashpro soon, just trying to get as much info together as i can so i can stock pile parts ready for flashpro.

is the j35 the stock tsm TB then? why does it need a second vacum line?

ill have a search

i would get the rrc but its double the price of rbc.

just planninjg on keeping stock TB for now.

so the rbc intake manifold doesnt need anything welding up or modifying in any way?

Theres really no point in just getting the RBC and keeping the stock TB. Your restricting airflow.

You need the extra vac fitting because the RBC has a few less on it(autofair will mod it). You can see the brass fitting on the TB.

Order your stuff from honda autofair off of k20a.org, ask for Ryan: Autofair Honda - K20A.org .:. The K Series Source . Honda / Acura K20a k24a Engine Forum

Tell him you want the same setup as tottenham12712 and he'll get you setup lol. I forget what I paid but it was by far the cheapest anyone was selling it at.

not really lol: RBC Manifolds $199 shipped!! - K20A.org .:. The K Series Source . Honda / Acura K20a k24a Engine Forum

hit them up, the ship internationally it might still be cheaper.

I believe it is a 1/4 in diameter bigger, and you can always port it even bigger.

Its a j35 tb I believe its off a TLs? not sure on that though. Its not ported, I dont really have a need since im going turbo. But they are already both the same size (65mm i think?)

Yes they are the same size on the mating surface, the j35 is a tapered TB.

You can either use a T or modify the TB to have an extra vac fitting. Heres a few photos:

You can see the vac fitting on the j35 TB better here.

I am also not using the vac lines that go to this:

This goes to your front motor mount and its not really needed.

If you want more pics lmk in a PM and ill post them up

thanks for the pictures :)

ill probably just use a T piece then i expect.

or if i can find a threaded hose connector at work then i might drill and tap and fit it that way.

ill just leave the VAC lines fitted to the thingy that goes to your front mount.

tottenham12712 , Bro , this is a vacuum for a front mount , it will not damp vibrations and wont work without vacuum ))
I know what it does lol, Its also useless, at idle it loosens the mounts up so you dont feel vibrations under load it tightens it up to allow less rotational movement of the motor, so if its disconnected its always stiff.

I wont even have stock mounts in a few days anyway so it really doesnt matter lol. Thanks though
