Replacing OEM Radio with Android

Hi All,

I have a 2007 TSX(121k miles) and like most everyone my bluetooth module has the parasitic draw. I have disconnected it and will be taking it apart, I suspect the capacitors are faulty. In the event that I can't find anything I have been looking at these Android radios. Has anyone bought one of these recent eight core ones? What do you think overall?

I assume the HVAC buttons light up at night but can't get any confirmation from the seller. Hopefully the unit doesn't pass through the OEM bluetooth module otherwise I'll have an expensive paperweight. I'm just trying to figure everything out before dropping $435 on this (planning on getting the 4Gig one). I only need radio/bluetooth and maybe waze/tunein.

I only plan on keeping the TSX until this chip shortage resides.

Thanks

In searching for solutions for my Tsx and then my Accord, I never used any of those android units. I was not able to find one that didn’t have some software or a/c control issues. They are all expensive gambles. I currently use a FIIO BTR5 bluetooth reciever plugged into the aux jack. It provides a better bluetooth connection for audio than any of those android units. It also handles calls with a built in mic. I rely on the music/podcast apps on the phone. It has a car mode that will make it sync with your phone when you turn your car on. The steering wheel controls are done via Tunai Button bluetooth steering wheel controller.
This is a more reliable and temporary solution if you don’t plan to keep the car long.
I've been looking into these and other radio upgrade options recently, and actually just bought one of these but haven't received it yet. While these android units are an expensive gamble due to having no warranty, most people who reported issues with these are those who had the older model. The older model was cheaper and didn't have physical AC controls, it was just an all screen design. You can't find the older model for sale anywhere anymore, at least not new. The safest route would be to get the metra dash kit and a double din of your choice. But since you're planning to get rid of the car in the near future, I would probably just get one of those portable android auto/carplay units.
you shouldnt have any problems with the newer gen android units like the one pic above. Ive had my first gen for about 4 years now and thinking about replacing it for a new unit. dont get the one like mines without physical ac buttons
I installed a device from these guys, so far for half a year the radio has been working fine, you can contact them

I installed one of these about a week ago, did you move over the section with the blue light that shines down over the cubby? I saw the previous version without the buttons had 2 wires at the bottom to wire in the light. Trying to figure out where to wire it in with the new unit as it doesn't seem to have extra power wires for it.
2ND generation guys might want to check this out.
I have now shared this with everyone I know that has a cu2 and also the forums too. You are a true gem, a legend.

Hello, I'm interested in the question, in these devices the same high-quality matrices are used as in Lilliput or of a different quality
