Besides having a oil consumption problem, my new 2012 TSX Special Edition has an odd thing happen with the clutch. Sometimes, when you hit the clutch, the RPMs increase about 100-300 RPMS for about 1/2 second, then fall. This happens when you are accelerating. If my speed is constant, take my foot off the gas, hit the clutch, the RPMs drop as you would expect, but if I am accelerating, take foot off gas, hit the clutch, this happens. Dealer claims, althoguh not normal, is not a problem with the car. Any ideas?

Notice that with mine also. There was some documentation about a "linear throttle tip in", which I think may blip the throttle slightly when shifting to smooth it out.

Question for OP, what's going on with your oil consumption? I just got my 2012 SE about a month ago, only 1,000 miles. I am concerned about the reccomended oil viscosity 0W-20..

I did my 1k oil consumption test and was down 3/4 quart so I took it back. This is the 3rd time back with the dealership and no resolution. I my state I qualify for Lemon Laws now. The Oil consumption test is BS. Go with what they say but if you have a problem don't let them mess you around. Lawyer up.

Going back for my 3rd oil consumption test tomorrow. Looks like its running about 3/4 quart for every 1,000 miles for me. Acura's policy is 1 Quart per 1,000 miles is "normal", so the technician told me. Time for attornies to get involved. I live in PA but bought the car in Delaware, so I fall under Delaware Lemon Laws.

Let me know what happens with your case. I had an unfortunate event. I was driving and a lady blew a stop sign and I hit her. So far i'm 13k in damages and waiting for the shop to fix the frame. This hurts my case with Acura as they can claim this is a part of the accident even though it was reported WAY before the accident. Right now, I'll be fighting with the insurance company to restore residual value after the accident as it's not my fault so I'll keep you posted.
