Yeah not the best of the springs out there but not bad. H&R, Eibach, Tein, Tanabe, Comptech are the popular ones here. If you're not going to replace your struts (Tokicos are about 270 shipped), then don't lower much more than an 1" or you'll have a bad ride.

It depends how aggresive of a drop you want, do you want to minimize some of that wheel gap, or do you want to slam it (figuritvely speaking). Just to get some what of an idea, go check and see how many fingers fit in-between your wheel and front fender, it should be aproximently four I am droped on a set of RS*R's (hard to find). they lower the vehile aproximetly 1.5F 1.2R, they settle about .1 of a inch lower. They look great with stock suspension but I still decided to swap out my original shocks. I have about a two finger clearnce now front and back, and with such a mild drop in the rear a camber kit was not required just an alignment of the toe.

Skunk 2 is a good company, but your drop should depend on what exactly your looking for.

Hope this kind of helps?

To the OP;

Bro sorry to say, but why are you being so cheap you drive a TSX not a golf cart. If money is really such a huge issue why bother with it in the first place. You’re going to need to run a rear camber kit with the set-up (Tanabe DF210’s) so tack on about $150-200 dollars on top of that. Then later on down the road you’re going to run into issues with your factory shocks, leaking issues or blowing them out. IMO do it right the first time you will save yourself a lot of headache down the road.

Sorry maybe you don’t know what OP stands for; 'Original Poster' I wasn't referring to you fltsx08 sorry if you got mistaken :). Ur set-up is perfect and ideally it's what I would be running if I hadn't made the wrong decision on the set of springs I ordered in the first place.

Anyway sorry for the mis-communication, I was reffering to the first post and in the sense that he's only trying to spend about $200 to lower the car, its going to cost way more and if it's done right the firs time like yourslef fltsx08, it saves alot of headace and time.

Just to edit, I have nothing against a spring + shock combo if the spring rates match those of the shocks nine times out of ten they ride better then any coil-over atleast for street use and in a city where there are so many pot-holes like mine; Toronto.

you don't need a camber kit! car looks sexy with negative camber. Just get a set of coils and you're done. slam is during the summer, raise it during the winter.
If ya wanna do it right and not have to throw away tires because it's bald on one side..then get a camber kit.

Especially true if you run 18 or 19 inche tires cause those tires aren't cheap. Those suummer tires are softer and will be more prone to wear.

Conclusion

ok guys enough said. lol

first off im not too familiar with camber kits??

ok.
lets just say if i stick my hand in the gap of the tire and the fender 4 fingers fit. i want to (drop) 2 fingers. I dont want to be replacing tires every week and i wanna keep my stock struts. if possible.

What do i need and how much do you think im gonna end up spending.

Either go springs to drop at most 1.2". Safe for a while but you'll probably still blow your shocks in a year and will have some negative camber. You'll probably have more than 2 finger gap.

Or get the shocks/struts/camber kit that will drop you more than 1.5" and not have to worry.

I have a 1.5" drop and I have room for about 1.5-2 fingers.
