hello all---i need some help, please oh please.

i have an xm roady, the SNHOND3, 2 GLIs and a line amp.
i need to know how to hook it all up...i let circuit city try and they scratched my baby by SLIDING the already in place antenna across the roof and moving it to the trunk.
i'll save you all the drama of the rest of the experience, but now i'm on my own to get this hardwired.

can someone please tell me what to do, step by step?
i know to run the stereo to the SNHOND3, run a GLI out of the SNHOND3 into the line amp, run a GLI out of the line amp...then i'm stuck.

i have a connector that has the red and white plugs like the GLI on one end and 2 plugs to plug into the roady on the other end (the fm modulator plug and the power plug) -- can i connect that to the lineamp?

and also---where is the freakin' power coming from?
there's a red wire and a black wire coming out of the lineamp also--do they need to be wired into the power from the power outlet next to the not-an-ashtray?

please oh please oh please someone help me!! i can't bear to let anyone else touch my car for this!!

is the snhond3 already connected to your factory stereo? if so you should have a red and white rca cable going from the snhond3 one end of the GLI...then another red and white cable from the other end of the GLI going to the roady...

from the roady there should be a power adapter (which plugs into the cigarette lighter) and another cable for the antenna...

thats it....

now as far as circ city scratching your car... did they pay to repaint the car? your paint should absolutely have no markings now... if they have not paid for it to be repainted you should call the store and ask for the roadshop manager and say that you want them to pay for the paint job because they messed up... if he/she refuses then I suggest calling their corporate headquarters (and trust me...circuit city corporate will take care of you)

i have all of my work done with the roadshop in circuit city and i know that they will take care of you in the end...if you need somebody to fight them to get it repainted.. ill help u :)

you rock! the roadshop manager is the one who said they'd take care of me...he said all i would need is a buffing, but the acura guy said if i can feel it with my fingernail, buffing wouldn't do it. we'll see, i'm getting oil change #1 next sat and i'll have acura look at it and see what needs to be done. i talked to the store director the day it happened, and he promised me he'd also make sure my car was restore to my satisfaction.

now on to the roady.
i really want to hard wire it all in so that i don't have to plug in the outlet.
i have a lineamp to run in there also.
i was told that i can splice into the power from the outlet, but i may need help to have that done.
thanks for the help so far!

Glad to hear that they are taking care of it :) Circ city tends to do anything to make the customer happy... lol

As far as the hard wiring... I honestly cannot help you there... when I had the roady I simply used the cig lighter. You can try to trust circ city again to hard wire it...but personally i would not trust some random car stereo place... as if something gets screwed up they more than likely will NOT take care of you.

If you dont mind me asking, why didnt you get the XM Commander and put it in the not an ashtray area? Here are a few pics of what I have http://67.18.48.66/

That is all hard wired.... hmm sorry I cant be of more help with the electrical wiring... i always had my local circ city do the work

i bought the roady due to lack of knowledge about anything else. but i'm glad i did, since there is only one piece of equiptment. i think i may go to a real customization shop to get it done. i was being pretty bold thinking i could do it myself when i have NEVER done anything like this before, and i certainly don't want to make a mistake. we'll see...updates soon!
