And I don't mean the good kind of play! Sitting parked or driving my 04 tsx steering wheel has about 1.5 inches of side to side free movement. I just picked up the car with 169k for 3500 bucks! Anyway I'm just wondering if this is a simple fix or if there is some bushings in the steering rack that needs attention.

Could be as simple as tie rods or as complex as a totally new rack. Something of this nature is hard to diag over text. Your best bet is to bring it to a trusted shop and/or deal.
