Ok so...

I recently purchased a 2008 in Carbon Gray Pearl from a dealership (wanted the warranty, and all that jazz) So for now i'm stuck not being able to do much to the car, otherwise the extra 2k i spent on the car goes to nothing. So exterior mods only.. for now as i said.

I don't really want to invest in a whole new set of rims unless someone is selling good lookin ones for relatively cheap.

Here is my question.

Has anyone in the forums ever taken the stock 17" rims from Acura and had them painted (professionally) a nice pearl black, or matte black?

If not what does everyone think of that idea? any photoshoppers wanna give this a shot?

On top of that the windows will be tinted this weekend, plus maybe smoked tails. I'm new, and i will be seeing some of you at the beginning of April... i don't wanna be the only guy showing up in my business suit.

Thanks Guyyysss

Def not professional this was my first DIY at painting my rims glossy black and it came out better then I anticipated! Its not for everyone but IMO I would get them painted whatever color you want(DIY or professionally) until you can save up for some light-weight JDM wheels. But its your car do whatever pleases you!

Heres what it looks like:

I would just save up for some coilovers or lightweight rims personally. In terms of inexpensive cosmetic upgrades tints, smoked tails, lighting mods, and maybe different exhaust tips (AP2) are all I can think of.

But painting the rims isn't a bad idea especially if you do plastidip since it's affordable and actually looks quite good.

please dont tint your taillights for a couple reasons:

1) youre not ghetto
2) it looks better red like mclovin said
3) when you decrease the light output for your brake lights, you increase the risk of being rear ended..do you really want some sucker not paying attention to hit your car?

This is true, but i was looking at what someone called the GTR style, where the 3 light circles are cut out of the film, it looks quite nice...especially compared to the lights pictured above

lol i think a light to medium smoke would be OK depending how you do it. the picture above is a bit too dark for my taste. if i were to smoke anything, i'd do the reflectors lol
