I'm getting my tsx tinted this weekend and I want to know what the best percentage of tint to use. I live in in New York and I'm not worried about what's legal and what's not. I just want to know what people think looks best. Also if anyone can attach some pics with the percentage of tint they used that would be nice. Thanks for help.

This is how 5% looks like with 95% light/uv blockage. Mostly illegal everywhere, generally found on limos. Therefore giving it a nickname "Limo Tint". This is the darkest tint shade available worldwide. Any darker and you'd have to paint your windows black instead.

35%

Here are the pics from my Photobucket (keep in mind that I did not wash my car 1st & yes, I left the "Child killing airbag warning" on my car bc I thought it was funny in a twisted way:

As u can see, 35% really is not that dark; I wish the law would allow a lil bit more.

I am posting all 8 pics here 4 your convenience but if this is too much, let me know & I will edit it out.

How do you see at night?
Perfect vision helps. ;)

But yes, the only concern I have is that it can be hard at night when reversing or parking. I do have brighter/higher wattage reverse bulbs to increase lighting.

Gotta be very careful. :jester:

I hear that! I love the headlights on the TSX because I can see so well at night. I find rear visability tough already so I could not imagine making it harder to see.
However, the darker tint looks awesome. i wish it would look dark from the outside and clear from the inside. That would be awesome.

Unfortunately, there's no perfect plan around that. Otherwise, fitting reverse warning sensors would be another alternative if you think tinting will affect movement. I personally don't like those tiny holes in the rear bumper, but some people find that "luxurious/executive".

I don't like them either. I find rearward visability to be lacking in many new cars because of the wedge shape and raised rear deck lid. My old BMW has great visability and I could back that up as easily as going forward.
