So I got up at the buttcrack of dawn on a Saturday . . .
The stillness before all the madness . . .
As coffees are poured, breakfast trays set up, the cars were taken out of their sleeping place in the pristine trailers -
Although it was just a practice/qualifying day, the action was nonetheless exciting. Bridgestone provides two sets of "red" tires for each car to use for the weekend - as they are a softer compound tire, they tend to yield higher speeds at the cost of wear. When the team/car uses them is up to their discretion.
Here are some more shots of the preparation and setting up of the cars -
The level of sophistication found in the details was astounding!
There were some neat GT-A/Trans-Am cars in the mix in their own races as well -
And on to the action!
And there was some drifting action as Formula D did an awesome demonstration -
Hope you liked them!
