The bulb is from a company called v-leds.com. If by socket you mean what type of bulb that is, I believe it is the 7528. It is just a plug and play bulb. Take out your old one, put in the new one and that's all there is to it. However, Kowloon cleared out his headlights. He took out the amber plates in it so unless you do that too, having the switchback bulbs will be useless.

I have these bulbs in my TSX as well. These things are terrific. The brightness is amazing. They actually just released an updated version that makes installation easier.

Quick question, I was thinking about buying this aftermarket head light assembly to get the blacked out look and the LED DRL :D but the only thing that holds me back is downgrading in the way loosing my factor projector lenses.

I saw mention of opening the housing to remove the AMBER markers for the switch back LED bulbs. Is it possible to swap the projector lenses?

Also, how would you open them up? Then what would need to be done to reseal properly to make sure no condensation will be in the head light assembly?

Thanks Guys.
