I had a early instinct where coolant was splattered in my engine and I had coolant all over my engine bay and white smoke
I saw this and I’m assuming it was the problem

It’s by the water outlet, just wanted to know what size it’d be and if replacing this could prevent this from happening!!

Remove it and take it to an auto parts store to get the right size.

Replacing a damaged part with a new part doesn't prevent it from happening again. It just provides a repair. You have to know what the cause was to determine how to prevent it.
