I have searched the entire service manual and can find nothing that seems to use these 4 bolts. There are two on each side of the underside of the car.

The 4 bolts I am referring too are the two on each side that would bolt up the back end up the Cusco 4 point brace.

You can see the bolts again in this picture but also.

I keep scraping them and want to figure out if there is any reason to have them and if there is maybe I can find ones that are low profile and use an allen key instead.

Sorry my bad for not being clear enough. I do not have that brace on my car it just happened to be the best pictures I could find of the underside of the car. There are bolts in those holes though even if you do not have the brace and I am scrapping those. If I had that brace I would get stuck on speed bumps.

in for this as well. just went outside and got on my stomach to take a look. mine's are a bit scraped up from riding low. they don't appear to be holding anything up. how long are these bolts? wonder if they run thru and into the interior...

they kinda hold the two frame pieces together, after i took my underbrace off, i had these bolts off as well.. i haven't caught in flames.. so i don't think they are that important.. but don't quote me on it.

My main thought is that those holes are used for something on another chassis configuration of the car maybe like for the AWD models in northern Europe. Maybe for use they just fill holes to prevent water from getting into the car.

My old RSX also had these, I think several other Hondas do as well (FWIW, my S2000 doesn't have them).

Neither the TSX nor RSX service manuals mentioned them, not even torque specs. No idea what they are for, maybe they serve some purpose at the factory or for shipping? I doubt they're for any structural reason but who knows.

ahh now i see what you mean :)

i wouldnt have thought they where for any thing major. but seeing as they are there in the first place i dont think i would remove them.

replacing them isnt going to hurt if you wanted something that wont stick out as far.

but then look how many other bolts and brackets are on our cars that are there for pointless reasons.
