I'm kind of new to this, have an Acura Tsx 2006. Instead of selling it for a newer car I want to hook it up. I dropped the suspension in the front and lightly in the back. I have a cool air intake. I plan on getting a spoiler, new rims, and possibly tints (I live in NYS so I'm still figuring out laws)

My question is, I am 19 years old, in college , with bills. I don't make much. So I'm here to find out the best quality exhaust/muffler I can buy for my car. I want to keep both tips. And I'm looking for a "brrrr" deep sound, unless any other sounds are more eye catching.

My advice is don't do it. A full exhaust is going to be expensive and only net you noise. Alot of people ditch the cat and resonator on the stock exhaust. Don't be one of them - it sounds terrible.

Muffler delete is going to be the easiest and cheapest way to get some more sound (sounds good too). You could always have some tips welded up in place of the mufflers.

I was looking into a muffler delete. Is the buildup something I should be concerned about? Also, how would I go about getting this done ? You've been great help!

Exhaust build up won't really be an issue. If you're worried about it just get some new tips welded on in place of the mufflers.

Muffler delete isn't illegal per se - noise is what is illegal. Muffler delete on a stock TSX isn't loud so you'll be good.

Muffler delete is just what it sounds like - chop off the 2 rear mufflers.

I recall a thread within the last year where the OP cut the stock mufflers open, gutted them, welded em back up and reinstalled. Might net you the noise you're looking for.

Very little power to be gained from a catback exhaust. If you just want noise gut or delete mufflers. If you want power get yourself a quality header, like sergebo's header.

Edit: Found it!

If you are tight on dollars, I don't recommend to buy a cheap aftermarket cat back exhaust.
You will totally regret the sound and build quality of a cheap exhaust system.

A good quality cat back exhaust cost money. There is no way around that. But as the other's mentioned, there is virtually no power gain with a cat back exhaust on a mildly modded TSX.

If you are just looking to add a bit of burble to the TSX exhaust for a couple of dollars and that can be reversed, I recommend to remove both exhaust resonators.
They are both straight thru and not restrictive at all, so no power gains in removing them.
Zero drone. I did this to my wife's TSX many years ago.
Any muffler shop can do this for less than $100.

From the other thread posted, where both mufflers were gutted, the person stated not much sound difference.
Gutting both mufflers takes time and work. Deleting both mufflers would take more work than deleting the 2 resonators.
