Hey guys.

I just had my exhaust done on my 2007 tsx/accord euro (k24a3). I got hurricane 4-1 header installed with 2.5" collector. I have an invidia Q300 2.36" (60mm) mandrel bent exhaust. I asked for a 2.5" cat and the clowns installed a 2.25" cat and worse than that, the custom pipes they put on each side of the cat are 2.20" OD creating a bottleneck.

I went to an expensive and reputable shop far from my home to get a quality job done and I got anything but.

I contacted the shop and they said they changed it without asking me because I had a 2.25" exhaust (Not true, it's 2.36"). They are now saying that it would have a resonating sound with the 2.5" cat. Sounds like BS to me as lots of honda guys run the 60mm exhaust with 2.5" header and cat.
Exhaust gasses have cooled by the time they get to the exhaust so I feel the slight step down there is ok but stepping from 2.5" collector to 2.2 or less right before that cat is silly.

I am demanding they replace the bottleneck and use 2.5" piping and cat like the quote stated and like I asked for. I was onsite all day or nearby with my phone on. They could have discussed this with me at any point.

What do you guys think.

Update: The owner looked at it and admitted it was wrong. They replaced the cat and 2.25" sections of pipe with all 2.5". The sound is more aggressive. It buzzes just a little bit more at very low revs under low throttle. The tyres now squeel for traction in first gear on a good dry road which is tells me some hp was found.

Next up is dc5 gears
