I have a 2014 TSX base 4cyl. which is experiencing the same issues posted in Brake Failure in Cold Weather - No Joke.

Short story, the car's cold, press the brake, turn car on and the brake pedal is hard to press. Give it few seconds 10-15 for the idle to change and pressing the bake pedal works as expected. This only happens on a cold start. I'm in California and at this time of year it doesn't get below 55.

I took the car to the shop and left it overnight. The mechanic said he was able to reproduce the issue on a cold start, but wasn't able to reproduce it after that. Everything checks out on the braking system. He did have a thought though about the vacuum check valve. He was not able to find one, and he's thinking it built into the booster.

Any ideas on where the vacuum check valve is located on a 2014 TSX?

Usually inside the hose, just squeeze until you feel the hard spot. Did you try measuring vacuum from that hose on a cold start?
Seriously, it's actually build into the hose and you can't see it? I'm not sure if they did a vacuum test at cold start. But they did run a vacuum test at some point and said it measured where it was supposed to.

Yea thats the one I'm thinking when cold valve could be sticking closed until engine builds enough vacuum to open the valve
I was finally able to replace the tube assembly yesterday. I tested the brakes out this morning and they are working as expected, problem solved. Thanks again Hst_cl9, I appreciate your help with solving the problem.
