I've used kbb and nada. This guy just keeps saying that they are rare (I have done my research before looking at tsx and found out that they are rare on some regions but to some, they aren't) and is firm with the price. He's been texting me everyday to see if I'm still in the market for cars. I finally replied with "are you still firm with the price?" He says yes and I haven't replied yet and I don't plan to. I think this guy knows I want and like the car so he's not budging.

I felt insulated when talking to him while we (parents and I) were at the lot. He just kept talking to my parents as if they were going to pay. I told him many times that I will be the one paying in cash too.

I do and don't need the car at the moment. Been looking at craigslist for about a month and still no 06-08 6mt. I might wait for labor day sale to see if a used 2nd gen 6mt is on sale or something.

I am only looking for a manual car. Drove both and felt that the automatic was more sluggish and not very responsive. It is but it isn't to me.

Looked online for other 6mt but they are like 400-1000+ miles away.

I actually texted him back while I was waiting for my class to start. This is what I said.

"Sorry but I'll go look elsewhere. I know the car isn't worth that much. Thanks for your time though."

Yeah for 300 bucks more I got a 08 with navi and 50k miles. His car is worth at least 8-9k and its 100,000 mile mark. History of the car? All service records? Also it's a 6spd and usually people who own them beat on them.

I own a AT and in sports mode I never encountered a sluggish moment...

Rude bastard.
Ignoring you (he buyer) at the lot just puts him down as an ignorant prick.

If the car is good I'd text (or phone him) an offer of 12 grand, tell him he has your number, tell him to get back to you when he's ready to sell. Hang up and forget about it.
I'd wager you'll get a call within a few weeks.

you lost me at wood/beige interior
He was glorifying the trim is one of a kind too lol.

As for the service records, (I know carfax doesn't show EVERYTHING but..) saw the carfax state the first mile as 7 then 60-70k of it was missing. Next was like 65 or 75k mi "car serviced". After that the car was serviced about every so often. then at ~85k the transmission was overhauled. I asked if he knew what happened but he just said they were replaced with new parts. Also when I checked the radio, it says something about a code. I read on here that it's around 3k to fix? Fuuq that.

After I sent my text, he was saying how rare it is to find a car in mint condition like this and in 6mt with a clean service record. I didn't even bother to reply.

when shopping for my tsx last year, i found availability/price differ greatly by the regions.
was planning to buy out of state and have it shipped it to me but luckily found a private seller locally on craigslist with very good price at the time.

'08 Silver/Black, No navi, AT, 50k miles @ $15k

And White/beige no navi combo isn't rare at all...

White/Black interior, Navi, 6spd tranny IS RARE

Just walk away and shop around for something under 100k miles.

Looking at an 06 tsx 6mt, no nav, wood/beige interior with 105xxx mi. This guy won't budge fron $13,888.

2006 Acura TSX Sedan 4D

1. Way too many miles.
2. Overpriced.
3. Lame wood/beige interior.
4. 2007 or 2008 TSX is much more desirable now due to FlashPro.

The only thing going for this car is the 6 speed manual trans.

Keep looking... A month of shopping for the right car is nothing, be patient and don't make a mistake.
Don't buy an auto trans TSX under any circumstances.
