I dont know if this is a common problem or not. But I was driving the other day in tip mode and approached a stoplight. As it turns green I accelerate normally, tried to shift into second and it wont go up... it just stays in first. When I drive on D, and switch over to tip, i can down shift to 4,3,2, etc...Did a diagnostic check and no codes went off... Anyone here have this problem? is my trans going out on me? i would appreciate any assistance, tips, and feedback. :help:

You are in tiptronic mode and deadstop at a stoplight.
Then you accelerate in 1st gear and it won't allow you to change manually to 2nd gear?
Did you try to change it to 2nd gear with a harder push? Sometimes I find the tiptronic + and - not being very responsive at times.
Did you try letting the car idle, put it in tiptronic mode, and go through all gears (+ and -)? Or does it the stay in 1st gear position and not let you change to other gears?

correct... it just wont shift up into 2nd no matter how hard i push it... usually at idle i can push it into 2nd, but now i cant even do that...
outside of sportshift (regular D) its fine. transmission seems smooth and no lack of slipping or power... The 1 does not flash when i try to shift up manually...
Thank God... i actually opened up the center console and took off the shift plate... i flicked one of the wires under it and its started working all of a sudden. unfortunately it stopped working again a day or two after... i was told the wires were goin bad... i was told it might be an automatic shift module ??? i dont kno, dealer wanted to charge me 125 to check the problem then an extra charge to fix... i said nahhh ill passs! now i have to find a good tranny shop, or if i can just find a 6MT 1st gen or 2nd gen and trade the car in lol...
I have the same issue in my 2007 tsx, any info on what it takes to fix this would be great! tranny works fine in D4, just wont let me shift and Auto is BORING lol.
I would love to repair my tiptronic soon, without paying Acura $125 just to tell me how much to fix it! Thanks to all in advance...
(The wife doesn't know how to drive stick and we sometimes share the car to drive our daughter otherwise the 6M would be my fix!)

I should have been a little more clear, my car is having the issue but I haven't pulled up the center console yet as I didn't want to break it.
I just found a DIY for pulling up the center console, but I was trying to see if there were replacement parts I needed or a new wiring harness so I can repair the same time that I take it apart.
