whats going on tsx club. so my torque converter was making a whining noise and i hated it. so i finally had time to change it and i did. i removed the transmission and put a new trans with a new torque convertor. car started right up and noise went away.. i noticed that on the dash board the "P" for park wasn't lite up. so i pressed the brake pedal and attempted to shift the level into drive. and the lever will not come out of park? if i put the key into the slot next to the lever and put it into any other gear they lite up.. only park wont lite up. also i had a buddy of mine run a diagnoses on my trans with his snap on scanner . he said that non of the sensors were "on" according to the what the machine is telling him.. so i put the car in drive and it doesn't roll when i let go of the brake. same thing for reverse. also the key wont come out the ignition now any ideas?

check electrical connections and shift cable adjustment. Place the control lever in reverse at the transmission. From inside the car, remove enough of the console to access and loosen the nut that secures the cable end. Place the shift lever in reverse and with the cable loose, allow it to "find" where it needs to sit. Tighten the nut and shift through the gears to make sure the lights on the dash reflect the selected gear. Hope this helps
