I need to replace my ignitor/inverter on my 04 TSX.

Drivers side headlight has given me several problems over the years and dealership service deptments have caused my most recent problem. The last time I had my inverter/ignitor replaced under warranty they never put the back cover on the headlight assembly and water leaked through shorting out my light. Unfortunately this was 3 years ago and they will not honor faulty work after 2 years/12000 miles.

They quoted me 950 to fix and i talked them down to 800 and walked away to do it myself. Ive used this sites DIY threads many times and am thankful for them, however I cant seem to find the thread I need to take this project on myself.

Does anyone know of a DIY thread for this or does Anyone have experience with this fix??

Its been a while since ive been active on this site, good to be back. Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

Do you want to replacew your headlight, or do you want to re-seal it?

There's a big difference in cost and work involved.

Run some searches -- if you're looking to re-seal the lights, lcrazyaznl posted a good DIY a year or so ago. There are also instructions for removing the headlight assembly itself posted in the FAQ/DIYs forum.

Removing/replacing headlight is pretty straight forward.

I'm sure there are a few DIY's on here, just do a search.

But off the top of my head,
remove rad cover
remove bumper
unplug the cables powering headlight bulbs
unscrew the headlight screws
remove the headlight
