nope. lock/unlock - nothing happens, not even any sound, light flashes - nothing

All Hondas are this way - supposedly a safety issue, but I don't know how it could be unsafe to remotely unlock your door while driving. You can reach your hand over to do the same thing.

A tip is to keep a valet key handy at work or home for when you want to start your car and leave it.

Honda has the safeguard of not allowing you to lock your car while the key is in the ignition, but you obviously found the work-around of pulling the door handle while locking.

right...this got me thinking...
If Honda don't want you to lock with the key at ON position as a means to prevent lock-out...
Why the heck the engineers/designers did not think of DISABLING the door lock tabs when the door is OPEN ? Thus preventing me from doing the "work-round" - which just defeated the designers purpose of lock-out prevention.
...maybe this adds complexity = production cost :donno:

not true...there are two yellow straps, one on each side, where you can pull to fold down your rear seats.

not if you want to fold down your rear seats from the trunk. From the inside, you'll need your key. From the trunk, just pull one of the yellow straps and it'll unlatch whichever sides seat and push.

I locked my doors...
used the fob to pop the trunk
pulled the yellow straps in the back to unlatch my fold down seats
folded the rear seats down
crawled into the back seat area

So locking the car has no effect on the rear fold down seat latches.

That is a safety feature incase you get locked in the trunk... To break into the car through the trunk, you would first have to get into the trunk...

 

actually...if you break into the car from the trunk, and try to open the door from the inside, your car alarm will go off. Since Robert has his keys in the ignition, it won't sound.

 

the point is, dont leave the car running with the keys in the ignition.
1. car could get stolen easily.
2. wastes gas.
3. you will get locked out and feel like a dumbass!
