Black (ground) wire goes into the middle wire on the harness.

Red (power) wire goes into the wire on the edge of the harness (left most wire).

If your radar is going crazy, make sure the ground wire is properly set in.

 

That's what I figured as that was the only combination that would give me any kind of power. I just pushed the ground in harder and radar working great. Thanks for the confirmation.

I already did it. It comes on when the mirror gets power and I have a small switch to supply power when the car is off.

Or you guys can go to Radar-Mirror and buy the mirror set up. i think it looks sick.

 

^too much for a simple radar detector IMHO..

 

Looks bad ass, id get the mirror one since im constantly on the highway and I see at least 5 CHPs on my way to work.

 

nice idea but way tooo much $$! i need to figure out a solution, cause i have my radar detector plugged into the pins, but now i have to wire my dash cam...
any thoughts? think its better to splice into the wiring directly or can i just splice into the pin connectors?

 

If I was a baller I would do that lol. I'm happy with my invisicord w/ my V1.

 

bend the wire a little to give it a better connection.
