Ok I finaly got a chance to dyno this thing. EdSawyer stopped by and checked it out. Glad to see nice members that are local :).

Setups are:
1) OEM 04-05 RBB intake manifold, 04-05 TB, and 04-05 intake tube
2) OEM 06-08 RBB intake manifold, 06-08 TB, and 06-08 intake tube
3) Ported 06-08 IM, matched 06-08 TB and oem 06-08 intake tube

All setups are done using the oem filter box with K&N drop in and removed resonator box. The car is 100 % 04 TSX bone stock except the Hondata reflash.

Manifolds, new 06+ TSX intake tube, and new gaskets ready for swapping. Dont mind the velocity stack. I lost power when I used it, and the graph is not in this comparison.

In between swaps.

Gained about 5hp from stock and about 2.5 from the non ported 06+ RBB setup. HP gains are consistent and hold throughout the rpm range. TQ is steady and no peaks. Since TQ is the measure of volumetric efficiency of an engine, I guess I proved that the overall the intake flows better from the non ported version. Overall I am pleased. To improve the intake flow this much by not changing the cams or exhaust components is a good start. It shows that the improvement to the IM are headed in the right direction. I really need more cam and compression to show drastic changes in improvement, but for a stock setup I think it did pretty well.

Props for the hard work with positive results. Every little bit helps and as you said you have a pretty stock set-up..with more mods your gains would've likely been higher. Still curious about your shifter..good to see a TSX pioneer up here in the Northern NE!

Thanks for letting me tag along and check that out. Agreed, great to meet up with other tsx/honda folks around here. Mark's got a sweet dyno setup there too.

That manifold work looked great and it's nice to see it posted some real gains too. I am sure it will support higher flow and improvements from cams, exhaust, etc, so even though it's not huge gains by itself, it will will likely multiply gains from other areas when you get there.

Bought one of Bardi's short shifters too, that's a mechanical work of art, no question! Beautifully designed and fabricated.
