Some time ago (in July) I had a weird problem which I later resolved, as below.

I have disconnected the navi screen and cd changer, drove a few Km's and after that when I start the engine, the mark "/!\" stays on. Even after I drive, the VSA light stays on.
There is no dealer I can go for service and no scanner available in a the 3000 square Km area. ;(

I jumped 9 and 4 pins. ABS blinks error 84 - "VSA sensor neutral position memorization".
Checked in the manual:

Big letters say: do not press the brake pedal.

I left the pins jumped (connected), turned the key, ABS light was off, I pressed "vsa off", then ABS light was on, again I pressed the "vsa off" button and nothing happened... ABS began to blink error 84 again.
I tried to jump pin 9 with just ground, but nothing changed...

RESOLUTION:

But few days ago I have fixed the problem myself without Dealer Scanner!
First of all you need to clear ABS errors (that is the main problem why i have failed earlier).

1) Jump pins 4 and 9.
2) Press and hold the brake pedal and switch on the ignition.
3) Wait for the ABS light to turn off and then remove your foot from the brake pedal.
4) Wait for the ABS light to turn on, then press and hold the brake pedal again.
5) ABS light should turn off, then remove your foot from the brake pedal.
6) Wait for two flashes of ABS light. If it flashes it means that errors are erased.

Check the errors (with the pins jumped) - just turn the ignition on, if ABS light does not flash, no errors are in memory.

Now the main part.

VSA neutral position setting

Do not touch the brake pedal anymore.

1) Jump pin 9 to chassis ground (I have used a bolt on a door hinge).
2) Turn the ignition on, after ABS light turns off, quickly press the "VSA off" button.
3) After ABS light turns on again, quickly press the "VSA off" button.
4) Now should be a lot of different blinks and flashes and all lights ABS, VSA and triangle should turn off. The problem's solved.
5) Open the beer bottle!

Really I'm not sure what was the real problem of the VSA error but I have some thoughts on this situation.

After I disconnected the navi+cd changer (HVAC if i remember correctly), I left the car for a while. Then after some time I have started the engine without HVAC unit and there was a triangle light. After I drove the car, the VSA light turned on. Maybe HVAC (navy+audio unit) disconnection is just a coincidence. Because few weeks before I had a problem with 1 tire. I hit the front wheel on a turn. I've driven a few km on a low tire (I just missed that part). After I changed to a spare wheel, I have driven to a garage. I am not sure if i pressed "VSA OFF" button, but for sure when I have driven to a garage VSA or triangle lights were not turned on. After this event i have changed four wheels but not tires and have driven about 100-150 km's also. I found that toe-in is lost, I went to a mechanic who fixed it, and after some time I disconnected HVAC unit.... After I have seen a triangle, I have tried to clear errors by removing battery but it did not help, after this I checked the manual, but there was info only about scanner ;(

Awesome thread! Just used this on my 08 TSX and it worked great! Found a used yaw sensor (P/N 39960-SDA-A01) on eBay for $35 shipped.

Thank you to the OP (and all else that contributed) for this thread! It was certainly a great help!

Thanks,

Brian

This is exactly what I did to solve the problem...

Hardware exchange...

IIRC, there are a total of 5 bolts that need to be removed. There is a metal cover panel, and then the sensor. My carpet had a few access holes already, but I found it necessary to make one more cut from one hole to the next to pull the carpet back enough to remove the sensor.

Once the new sensor is in, reassembly is just the reverse. Simply reset the ABS computer and then re-calibrate the new VSA sensor.
Then on to the computer resetting...

1) Jump pins 4 & 9.
2) Turn the ignition on, after ABS light turns off, quickly press the "VSA off" button.
3) After ABS light turns on again, quickly press the "VSA off" button.
4) Now shoud be a lot of different blinks and fashes and all lights ABS, VSA and triangle should turn off. The problem's solved.

Thanks again to all!

Thanks, works for me.
Just tried these steps on my 05 Accord Hybrid with a TCS light and TRIANGLE ! light and it worked even after my local honda dealer told me i needed a new ABS ECU Module. I obviously didn't need that part and I can't wait to go tell those clowns at the dealership. Thank you for saving me the money and hassle. All you need to perform this fix is a paperclip or wire and a bottle of beer to celebrate!
Thanks again to all who contributed to this thread. Ironically, we had searched the WWW and did not find this solution and were directed to this thread by a representative of Autel. I hope this is OK with the moderators/owner of the forum. My wife contacted them and they could have sold her a code reader that we would have used once. I really appreciate that they helped her. The van was running fine and I was dragging my feet on this. Thanks again to them and the participants to this thread. Our story:

We have a 2007 Honda Odyssey VSA light on! This solution worked for us. We started having issues with the transmission that ended up being due to loose battery cable ends. The battery had died a few months earlier and my wife had taken it "somewhere" and they did not tighten the cables. Also, I added a light coat of Vaseline to the posts and cable ends and the corrosion has not come back 5 months to date. Anyhow, a shop had run the codes prior to us figuring out that the battery cables were loose. There were a bunch of weird codes that came up and the tech went straight to the battery. After tightening, he cleared them all and the only one that remained was the VSA light.

Re: instructions below, I want to add that you need to press the button and brake pedal pretty quickly in the described succession. It took me a few times to get it right but it worked. I have recopied the instructions below as they worked for me. Good luck!

1) Leave jump pins 4 and 9 in place
2) Turn the ignition on, after ABS light turns off, quickly press the "VSA off" button.
3) After ABS light turns on again, quickly press the "VSA off" button.
4) Now should be a lot of different blinks and flashes and all lights ABS, VSA and triangle should turn off. The problem's solved.
5) Open the beer bottle!

Thank you from Texas!

Hey, Bardissimo....thank you for posting this. That light has been on for over a year and I have been hoping there was a simple solution. Tried your method yesterday and the light has not come on again. VSA is working perfectly as I found out when I took a corner a little too fast in the rain (on purpose) and the system kicked in like it was supposed to.
Wow this thread is still alive :) glad to know that i could help and save some money ;)

Bardissimo. Who would have thought that in 2020 your post would still be helping people across the world? Thanks a million from Las Vegas!
GREAT!
THANK YOU!!!!!! Bardissimo
No alerts on may dashboard... -coooool!
Now I can go to the german TÜV! (with my Honda Accord 2.4 Tourer Executive)
Wow! Thank you Bardissimo!! I have a 2005 Honda Accord and every process on the net did not work because it did not include the first set of steps that included pressing the brake and only included the second procedure pressing the TCS (VAS) switch. This worked perfect the first time (except I forgot to pull the jump causing the dashboard to light up like a Christmas tree. A second round of the process above fixed it for good). Thanks so much!!!
Woke up this morning looking for a paperclip and ready to perform Bardissimo VSA light reset.
Thought I would try to use my Foxwell scanner tool first to see if it would work, and it did.
Seems like not all scanners can perform this VSA reset successfully.

Vehicle: 2006 Acura TL

Recent scan show a bad front right wheel sensor, I replaced the wheel sensor and cleared the codes but the VSA light would still go on after reaching 30MPH.

Note: You need to clear the 84-1 (Sensor Logic Failure) error first before doing the VSA sensor neutral position memorization reset, I got a failure message then tried to clear 84-1 and it worked.

Here are the steps on a Foxwell Scanner Tool
Pre-req: Clear 84-1

Then perform the following steps on the Foxwell Scanner screen to perform the Neutral Test.
-Goto Control Unit
-Choose ABS/TCS/VSA
-Choose Neutral Test
-Choose All Sensors

Follow the steps on the scanner tool to perform the reset.
The scanner tool will prompt to have the vehicle on la level surface, steering wheel should be straight.

It was quick, no need to touch brake pedals or VSA ON/Off buttons.

Hope this helps someone with a Foxwell Scanner.
Here was a video that I referenced,
