Headed down to San Diego yesterday to pick up a set of Tein Basic Coilovers from fellow TSX Club member Sergio who gave me a screaming deal and set me up with a very knowledgeable mechanic named Tom who installed them for me. Immediately requested the coils down max low, but did not remove the second perch because I'm already rubbing front fender and tucking rear fender.
Fist glace, the car doesn't look that low, but I accomplished what I set out to do: eliminate wheel gap entirely.
I realize my car isn't everyone's cup of tea, and that's ok.. because I'm not out to impress anyone with the car. I mod it the way I want and the way I think will look good, and I do not intend to follow a pre-determined "look" with the car.
Here's some crappy quality pics from my point and shoot...
Right after the drop
Fitment check front, tucking ever so slightly
Fitment check rear, tucked with camber
Soon to come is a 5mm wheel spacer for the rears, to push it right up against fender.
I'm also debating Euro R Lip kit... or maybe something a bit more noticeable......
