So i bought a Si tranny over the weekend to fit the gears to my tsx, i want to know if i got the right tranny. Where to look for the tranny code on the case? Should be a PNN4 but i cant find the code any where.

Thanks!

There is a sticker on the front of the transmission, might be peeled of. Best way to verify is first to see if there is a pin in the differential where the CV mounts in. If yes, this is not an Si as the LSD have this hollow so you can see the other side without a pin in the middle. If there is a pin, it is an open differential... return to sender... If this is confirmed, open the case, count the theets of the FD and counter shaft, divide them. If you do not get 4.764, it is again, not an Si. Then, count the theets on the third gear, mainshaft and counter shaft divide them and verify if you have the right ratio (Transmission Gear Ratio Table - K20A.org .:. The K Series Source . Honda / Acura K20a k24a Engine Forum). You can do this for all the gears to be sure. Hope this helps! J~

Just an FYI, running a 5.1FD on a TSX is, for the most part, pointless. You're just going to make 1st completely useless and hurt cruising RPMs. The 5.06 FD is only in the CTR for good reason: light car/low torque. Heavy car/higher torque = more useless wheel spin.

Do it if you really want, but its just wasted money IMO. The Si 2-5 is more than enough, Jerome and I both run them. GL with the swap, make sure to check clearances. Enjoy
